Transfers

Q. Does Barefoot Cruises offer transfers?
A. No we do not offer pre or post cruise transfers.

Q. How do I get from the Whitsunday Coast airport to the vessel?
A. There are shuttle bus and taxis services that operate between Proserpine airport and Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour.

Q. What is the cost of transfers from Whitsunday Coast airport?
A. Shuttle bus cost: Airlie Beach $15 each way. Time: approx 45 Min. No pre booking required. Taxis are also available at a cost of approx $70 each way to Airlie Beach. Time: 30 Minutes. No pre booking required.

Q. How do we get from Hamilton Island to meet the Coral Trekker?
A. There are ferry services to the Barefoot Cruises docking point at Abel Point marina in Airlie Beach, from Hamilton Island by Cruise Whitsundays. The price is $60 (Includes Airport levy) one way. Cruise Whitsunday ferry must be pre booked at least 24 hrs prior to arrival.

Meals

Q. Are all meals provided on board?
A. All meals are provided on board including morning and afternoon tea. ( view sample menu*)

Q. Do we need to dress for dinner?
A. No. Dinner is a casual affair.

Q. Can you cater for special diets?
A. Yes. Please notify us of any special requirements at last one week prior to departure.

Bedding Configurations

Q. What is the bedding configuration in the cabins and staterooms?
A. Coral Trekker (sailing the Whitsundays) has 2 staterooms with 1 double bed and 3 twin cabins with upper and lower single beds.

Q. Can I still book if I am traveling on my own?
A. Yes. If you would like to book you own room double rates will still apply. Please contact us regarding the possibility of a booking a bed in a shared twin room, specific sole-use rates will apply.

Activities

Q. Do we need to bring our own snorkelling or dive equipment?
A. No. All equipment is provided on board. However it is a good idea to bring your own snorkelling mask if you have one.

Q. Do you provide snorkeling vest or flotation devices?
A. Yes.

Q. Can we go fishing?
A. No. As we operate in the Great Barrier Reef marine Park we do not allow fishing.

Inclusions

Q. What do we need to pay for on board?
A. An Open Bar package is available, including a nightly Cocktail Hour. Open bar packages include wine, bubbly, select beers, soft drink and juice. Premium alcoholic beverages may also be purchased from the bar. The package Cocktail Hour includes set range of cocktails each night, other cocktails and cocktails at any hour are available for purchase from the bar.

The special package includes either 2 open water dives or 1 beginners diving instruction and 1 open water dive, along with free use of snorkeling equipment and kayaks. Extra dives are available for purchase during the cruise.

There is also a Great Barrier Reef Marine Park levy of $20 per person payable on board, where the No More to Pay Extras Package has not been purchased. Scuba diving is available at $95 per dive.

Q. Do you supply hairdryers?
A. No.

Children

Q. Do you cater for children?
A. Coral Trekker cruises are predominately designed for Adults, as a luxury adventure sailing escape, Children have not been catered for. Please call us to enquire about booking for children.

Miscellaneous

Q. What do we pack?
A. You will need swimwear, hat, sunscreen and smart cool casual clothing for the evening. You will not require any formal attire onboard.

Q. Do you supply beach towels?
A. No, only bath towels.

Q. Do we need cash on board?
A. No. We have credit card facilities available. All purchases are put to your room account and can be paid for at the conclusion of the cruise.

Q. What can we do with excess luggage?
A. We only allow soft luggage on board. Extra luggage can be stored at our office.

Q. Can we bring our own alcohol?
A. No. All vessels are licensed premises and stock a selection of beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks.

Q. Can you do something special for birthdays, anniversaries etc?
A. Yes. Please inform us at least one week prior to departure of occasion.

Q. Can we charge cameras etc on board?
A. Yes. we have 240v power available on Coral Trekker. If traveling internationally you will need the appropriate adapter.
